Four-Day City Experiences Itinerary for Kedarnath in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Kedarnath Temple

  2. Day 2: Vasuki Tal
    2 hours (6.1 miles) from Kedarnath

    Embark on a trek to Vasuki Tal, a serene high-altitude lake situated at an altitude of 4,150 metres. The trek is a 5 km uphill climb, and it takes around 4-5 hours to complete. Enjoy the scenic views of the mountains and the lush greenery surrounding the trail. Spend the afternoon by the lake, relaxing and taking in the natural beauty.

  3. Day 3: Gandhi Sarovar
    1.5 hours (6.3 miles) from Kedarnath

    Visit Gandhi Sarovar, a glacial lake situated at an altitude of 4,024 metres. The lake is named after Mahatma Gandhi, and it is surrounded by towering mountains and glaciers. The trek to Gandhi Sarovar is a 14 km round trip and takes around 6-7 hours to complete. Spend the evening exploring the town of Kedarnath and relishing the local cuisine.

  4. Day 4: Sonprayag
    2 hours (18.3 miles) from Kedarnath

    On the last day, visit Sonprayag, a scenic town situated at the confluence of the Mandakini and Songanga rivers. Take a dip in the holy waters and visit the nearby Triyuginarayan Temple, which is believed to be the site of Lord Shiva's marriage to Parvati. Spend the afternoon exploring the town and enjoying the views of the rivers and mountains.
