3-Day Itinerary for Coorg in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Abbey Falls
    20 minutes (6.9 km) from Madikeri

    In the morning, visit Abbey Falls. Located amidst coffee plantations and spice estates, this waterfall is a sight to behold. Enjoy the beauty of the falls and take a refreshing dip in the cool water. For lunch, head to Raintree Restaurant and try some authentic Coorgi cuisine. In the afternoon, visit the Madikeri Fort and Museum. Learn about Coorg's rich history and culture. In the evening, visit Raja's Seat and enjoy a beautiful sunset with a panoramic view of the valley.

  2. Day 2: Dubare Elephant Camp
    1 hour 20 minutes (34.6 km) from Madikeri

    Start the day by visiting Dubare Elephant Camp. Here, you can interact with elephants and even go for an elephant ride. In the afternoon, head to Nisargadhama, an island formed by river Cauvery. Enjoy a peaceful walk in the bamboo groves and visit the deer park. Stop by the hanging bridge and take some memorable pictures. For dinner, visit Coorg Cuisine and try some lip-smacking pandi curry (pork curry). End the day with a bonfire at your resort.

  3. Day 3: Talacauvery and Bhagamandala
    1 hour 30 minutes (42.2 km) from Madikeri

    Start the day early and visit Talacauvery, the birthplace of river Cauvery. Take a dip in the holy waters and enjoy the serene surroundings. Then, head to Bhagamandala, where the river Cauvery meets Kannika and Sujyoti rivers. Visit the Bhagandeshwara temple and seek blessings. For lunch, head to Hotel Capitol Village Resort and try some delicious Coorgi thali. In the evening, visit Chelavara Falls and enjoy the picturesque view.
