3-Day Family Friendly Itinerary for Coorg in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Abbey Falls
    30 minutes (9.8 miles) from Coorg Cliffs Resort

    Abbey Falls is a must-visit place in Coorg. The waterfall is surrounded by lush green coffee and spice plantations, making it a perfect place to start your Coorg trip. You can take a 20-minute walk to reach the falls, and you will be greeted with the sound of gushing water and a view of the falls. Spend your morning exploring the waterfall and take a dip in the pond below it. After lunch, visit the nearby spice plantations and learn about different spices and their uses. In the evening, head to Raja's Seat to witness the beautiful sunset view.

  2. Day 2: Dubare Elephant Camp
    1 hour 15 minutes (30.5 miles) from Abbey Falls

    Start your second day by visiting the Dubare Elephant Camp. You can experience the joy of feeding and bathing elephants and learn about elephant conservation efforts. After lunch, you can visit the nearby Nisargadhama Island and enjoy boating and other activities. In the evening, head to Madikeri Fort and enjoy the stunning view of the city from the fort.

  3. Day 3: Talacauvery and Bhagamandala
    1 hour 25 minutes (31.5 miles) from Dubare Elephant Camp

    On your last day, visit Talacauvery, the birthplace of river Cauvery. You can take a dip in the holy pond and visit the nearby temple. After lunch, visit Bhagamandala and witness the confluence of three rivers - Cauvery, Kannike, and Sujyoti. You can also visit the nearby temple and learn about the history of the place. In the evening, head back to your hotel and relax.
