Varkala Bachelor Party Itinerary - September 2023

  1. Day 1: Papanasam Beach
    10 minutes (3 km) from Varkala Cliff

    Morning: Start the day with a sunrise dip in the Arabian sea at Papanasam Beach. The beach is known for its black sand and the mineral springs that are believed to have medicinal properties. Take a walk along the shore and admire the natural beauty of the place.

    Afternoon: Head to one of the beach cafes for a chilled beer and some fresh seafood while enjoying the sea view. You can also try some adventurous water activities like parasailing, jet skiing, and surfing.

    Evening: End the day with a bonfire party on the beach with your friends. Get some drinks and snacks and enjoy the night sky and the sound of waves.

  2. Day 2: Varkala Cliff
    5 minutes (1.5 km) from Papanasam Beach

    Morning: Wake up early and head to the cliff to catch the sunrise. The cliff is a popular tourist spot with a variety of shops and cafes. Take a stroll along the cliff and enjoy the breathtaking view of the Arabian sea.

    Afternoon: Visit the Janardanaswamy Temple, which is one of the oldest temples in Kerala. It's just a 5-minute walk from the cliff. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and has beautiful architecture and intricate carvings.

    Evening: End your trip with a party at one of the nightclubs in the area. Most of the clubs are located near the cliff and open until late at night.

Recommendations

If you have time, you can also visit Kappil Beach, which is just 7 km from Varkala Cliff. It's an unspoiled beach with golden sand and clear blue water. You can also take a boat ride on the backwaters of Kerala, which is a unique and relaxing experience. Don't forget to try some local food like Appam and Kadala Curry, Puttu and Beef Roast, and Fish Molly.
