Recommendations

Other local attractions you can consider visiting are the Vashishta Gufa, a cave where the famous sage Vashishta meditated, and the Phool Chatti Ashram, which offers yoga and meditation classes. For side trips, you can visit the nearby hill station of Mussoorie or go on a white water rafting excursion on the Ganges River. To maximize your fun in Rishikesh, try the local cuisine, which includes dishes like aloo ke gutke, kachori, and gulgula. Don't forget to also explore the local markets for souvenirs and handicrafts. Lastly, we recommend carrying a first-aid kit and water bottle at all times, as Rishikesh is a hilly region with hot and humid weather.
