Family-Friendly 3-Day Itinerary for Munnar and Alleppey Boat House in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Munnar
    2 hours 40 minutes (80 miles) from Cochin International Airport

    In the morning, visit the Tea Museum to learn about the history and production of tea in Munnar. Take a stroll through the tea gardens and enjoy the scenic views. In the afternoon, visit the Mattupetty Dam, where you can take a boat ride and admire the surrounding hills. End your day at the Kundala Lake, take a pedal boat ride and enjoy the sunset.

  2. Day 2: Alleppey Boat House
    3 hours 30 minutes (100 miles) from Munnar

    Start your day by checking in to your Alleppey houseboat where you can experience the backwaters of Alleppey. Enjoy a delicious lunch on board as you cruise through the canals, admiring the lush green coconut trees, paddy fields and local villages. In the evening, enjoy a campfire and traditional Kerala dinner on board.

  3. Day 3: Alleppey Beach
    1 hour 30 minutes (45 miles) from Alleppey Boat House

    Spend your morning at the Alleppey Beach, known for its pristine sand and clear waters. Take a dip or just relax under a beach umbrella. In the afternoon, visit the Marari Beach.
