Kedarnath 6-Day Itinerary in October 2023

  1. Day 1: Kedarnath Temple

    Begin your day with a 5.5 km trek to Gandhi Sarovar, a serene lake also known as Chorabari Tal, named after the late Mahatma Gandhi. Afternoon, visit the Bhairav Nath Temple, a revered pilgrimage site dedicated to Lord Bhairav. The temple is situated at a height of 3,415 metres and boasts stunning views of the surrounding valleys.   3. Day 3: Sonprayag and Triyuginarayan Temple

  5. Day 5: Gauri Kund and Guptkashi

    Today, drive to Gauri Kund, a popular pilgrimage site and take a dip in the holy waters. Afternoon, visit the ancient town of Guptkashi, located at an altitude of 1,319 metres above sea level. The town is home to several ancient temples and is surrounded by breathtaking views of the Himalayas. In the evening, enjoy a peaceful walk around the town and visit the local market.

  6. Day 6: Rishikesh

    Distance: 7 hours drive from Kedarnath

    Today, drive to the spiritual city of Rishikesh, located on the banks of the holy river Ganges. Visit the famous Lakshman Jhula, a 450-foot-long hanging bridge and the Beatles Ashram, where the iconic band stayed in the late 60s. In the evening, attend the Ganga Aarti, a mesmerizing Hindu ritual dedicated to the river Ganges. Enjoy a sumptuous dinner at one of the many local restaurants and bid farewell to Kedarnath.
