A trip to Porto would not be complete without visiting the port wine cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia. Learn about the history of port wine, enjoy tastings, and take a guided tour of the cellars. Afterwards, cross the iconic Dom Luis I Bridge on foot for stunning views of the Douro River and Porto's skyline.
Visit the Sao Bento Train Station, famous for its stunning azulejos (Portuguese tiles), before exploring the narrow streets of the historic center. Don't miss the Livraria Lello, one of the oldest bookshops in Portugal and inspiration for Harry Potter’s Hogwarts Library. Later, climb the Torre dos Clérigos for panoramic views of Porto.
Take a break from sightseeing and relax at the beaches of Matosinhos and Foz. Both have a variety of seafood restaurants to choose from if you want to try the local cuisine. If you have extra time, consider visiting the Estação de São Bento, where you can see the beautiful azulejos that tell the story of Portugal.
