Honeymoon in Vietnam: A 7-Day Itinerary

  • Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City
    30 minutes (6 miles) from Tan Son Nhat International Airport

    After landing in Ho Chi Minh City, take a taxi to your hotel to drop off your bags. Spend the day exploring the city and visiting some of the most popular cultural sites such as the War Remnants Museum and the Notre Dame Cathedral.   • Day 2: Mekong Delta

    Take a short flight to the ancient city of Hoi An, which is known for its beautiful architecture and traditional culture. Spend the day wandering the narrow streets and visiting some of the many temples and pagodas. You can also go shopping for local handicrafts and souvenirs.

  • Day 5: Hue
    2 hours (80 miles) from Hoi An by bus

    Take a bus to the city of Hue, which was the imperial capital of Vietnam until 1945. Visit the Imperial Citadel and the Tomb of Tu Duc, both of which are UNESCO World Heritage sites. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Vietnamese dance performance.

  • Day 6: Halong Bay
    2 hours and 30 minutes (105 miles) from Hanoi

    Take a bus to the beautiful Halong Bay, which is known for its stunning natural scenery and floating villages. Take a boat ride to explore the area and visit some of the local fishing villages. In the evening, enjoy a romantic dinner on board a traditional Vietnamese junk boat.

  • Day 7: Hanoi
    3 hours (105 miles) from Halong Bay by bus

    End your trip in the capital city of Hanoi, where you can visit some of the most historic and cultural landmarks such as the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the Temple of Literature. Spend your last evening enjoying the local street food and shopping at the famous Night Market.
