Family-Friendly Alibag Itinerary for June 2023

  1. Day 1: Alibag Beach
    10 minutes (3 km) from Alibag Bus Stand

    Morning: Spend a peaceful morning exploring the serene Alibag beach. Relax on the sandy shores, play in the waves with the kids, or take a dip in the water. You can also enjoy some street food snacks from the vendors here.

    Afternoon: Head to the Kolaba Fort which is accessible by foot during low tide. Explore the ancient structures of the fort, take pictures of the beautiful surroundings and enjoy the sea breeze.

    Evening: End your day with a visit to the Kanakeshwar Forest which is known for its lush greenery and the famous temple of Lord Shiva. The view of the sunset from the top of the hill is enchanting and worth the climb.

  2. Day 2: Murud Janjira Fort
    1 hour 10 minutes (50 km) from Alibag Bus Stand

    Morning: Start your day early with a visit to the famous Murud Janjira Fort. This sea fort is located on an island and can be accessed by a boat ride. The fort was built in the 17th century and has withstood numerous attacks. Explore the fort, learn about its history and enjoy the panoramic view.

    Afternoon: After returning from the fort, head to the Nagaon beach which is popular for water sports. Try out activities such as parasailing, banana boat ride, and jet skiing.

    Evening: End your trip with a visit to the Brahma Kund, which is a beautiful and serene water tank located in Chaul. It is said that the water in the tank has medicinal properties and a dip in it is believed to cure skin diseases.

Other popular attractions in Alibag include the Varsoli Beach, Hirakot Fort, and the Mandawa Port. You can also take a side trip to the famous Elephanta Caves located in Mumbai.
