  1. Day 1: Triveni Ghat
10 minutes (2.3 km) from Rishikesh bus station

Start your honeymoon at Triveni Ghat, where the Ganges, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers meet. Arrive early in the morning to witness the sunrise and the morning aarti, a Hindu religious ritual. Take a dip in the holy waters or go on a boat ride. After lunch, visit the Beatles Ashram, where the Beatles once meditated and composed music. Explore the colorful graffiti art and soak in the peaceful vibes of the ashram. In the evening, head to Parmarth Niketan, a spiritual center, and attend the Ganga aarti ceremony with the chanting of mantras and lighting of lamps.

  2. Day 2: Shivpuri
45 minutes (16 km) from Triveni Ghat

Spend the day at Shivpuri, a small town on the banks of the Ganges, surrounded by lush forests and hills. Go for a thrilling white water rafting adventure and enjoy the scenic beauty of the region. You can also try other adventure activities such as bungee jumping, zip-lining, and rock climbing. Have a romantic picnic lunch on the riverbank. In the evening, relax at Neer Garh Waterfall, a secluded waterfall surrounded by nature, perfect for a peaceful and romantic evening.

  3. Day 3: Neelkanth Mahadev Temple
1 hour 30 minutes (31 km) from Shivpuri

On your last day, visit the Neelkanth Mahadev Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in the midst of the Himalayas. The temple is surrounded by lush green forests and offers breathtaking views of the mountains. Afternoon, visit the Rajaji National Park, home to a variety of wildlife such as elephants, tigers, leopards, and bears. Go for a jungle safari and spot the exotic wildlife. End your day with a romantic dinner at The Sitting Elephant, a rooftop restaurant that offers delicious food and stunning views of the Ganges and the mountains.

Recommendations:

If you have time, consider visiting the Vashishta Gufa, a cave where Sage Vashishta meditated and where it is believed that he received the knowledge of the Vedas. You can also take a day trip to Haridwar, another holy city that is known for its ghats, temples, and the evening Ganga aarti ceremony. For an offbeat experience, visit the Beatles Cathedral Gallery, an art gallery dedicated to the Beatles and their music. To make the most of your trip, try to wake up early to witness the sunrise and avoid the crowds. Lastly, don't forget to try the local street food, such as chaat, pakoras, and lassi, which is not only delicious but also very affordable.
