Two-Day Itinerary for Rishikesh in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Beatles Ashram
    15 minutes (4.2 km) from Rishikesh Bus Stand

    In the morning, visit the Beatles Ashram, also known as Chaurasi Kutia. It is an abandoned ashram where the famous band, The Beatles, stayed in 1968. The ashram is now covered in graffiti and offers a unique experience of walking through the ruins of the ashram. In the afternoon, head to the Rajaji National Park, located about 1.5 hours away from the ashram. Spread over an area of 820 square kilometers, the park is home to a variety of wildlife such as tigers, elephants, and leopards. In the evening, visit the Triveni Ghat, the most famous ghat in Rishikesh, and witness the grand Ganga Aarti ceremony.

  2. Day 2: Neer Garh Waterfall
    30 minutes (8.5 km) from Triveni Ghat

    In the morning, visit the Lakshman Jhula, a suspension bridge over the Ganges River that is said to have been crossed by Lord Rama's brother, Lakshmana. Take a stroll on the bridge and admire the views of the river and nearby temples. In the afternoon, head to the Neer Garh Waterfall, a hidden gem located in the outskirts of Rishikesh. The waterfall can be reached by a short trek and is a great spot for swimming and relaxing. In the evening, return to Rishikesh and visit the Parmarth Niketan Ashram, which offers a serene atmosphere and beautiful views of the Ganges River.
