Two-Day Itinerary for Yercaud in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Pagoda Point
    15 minutes (2.5 km) from Yercaud Lake

    Pagoda Point, also known as Pyramid Point, is a viewpoint located on the eastern side of Yercaud hills. It offers a breathtaking view of the eastern slopes of the hills and the Salem city in the plains beyond. The best time to visit is in the morning when the hills are covered in mist and the view is clear. You can spend the afternoon exploring the nearby Raja Rajeswari Temple and Kiliyur Falls, which is a short trek from the temple. In the evening, head to the Anna Park and relax amidst the nature.

  2. Day 2: Shevaroy Temple
    20 minutes (3.7 km) from Yercaud Lake

    Start your day with a visit to the Shevaroy Temple, dedicated to Lord Shevaroyan, who is believed to be the presiding deity of the Shevaroy Hills. The temple is located at the highest point of the hills and offers a panoramic view of the surrounding valleys and villages. After spending the morning at the temple, head to the Lady's Seat viewpoint which is nearby. You can also visit the nearby Bear's Cave and explore the history behind it. Spend the afternoon exploring the Deer Park and the Botanical Garden and take a stroll amidst the lush greenery and colourful flowers.
