  1. Day 1: Kedarnath Temple

    1 hour (35 km) from Kedarnath Temple

    Start your day by visiting Shankaracharya Samadhi, a place that holds great significance in Hindu mythology. It is believed that Adi Shankaracharya took samadhi here, and the place is now a peaceful retreat for meditation. In the afternoon, visit Vasuki Tal, a serene lake situated amidst the Himalayas. Spend a relaxed evening in the lap of nature and enjoy the scenic beauty.

  3. Day 3: Gaurikund
    1 hour 30 minutes (41 km) from Shankaracharya Samadhi

    On your last day, visit the holy town of Gaurikund, which is located at the confluence of the Mandakini and Son Ganga rivers. It is believed that Goddess Parvati meditated here to win Lord Shiva's heart. Take a dip in the hot water springs and visit the Gauri Devi Temple. In the afternoon, explore the nearby Guptkashi town and visit the ancient Vishwanath Temple. Spend the evening relaxing and enjoying the scenic beauty of the area.

Recommendations

If you have the time, you can take a side trip to the scenic Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary, which is home to a variety of flora and fauna. You can also visit the Triyuginarayan Temple, which is believed to be the place where Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati got married. To maximize your fun, you can try trekking to Kedarnath from Gaurikund, which is a popular trekking route. It is also recommended to carry warm clothing and rain gear as the weather can be unpredictable in the mountains.
