Rishikesh Relaxation Itinerary for June 2023

  1. Day 1: Beatles Ashram
    15 minutes (4.7 km) from Rishikesh Bus Stand

    In the morning, head to the Beatles Ashram, also known as the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ashram. This once-abandoned spiritual retreat was famously visited by the Beatles in 1968 and is now a popular tourist attraction. Explore the colorful graffiti art and meditative spaces. In the afternoon, take a stroll to the nearby Vashishta Gufa, a cave where the sage Vashishta is said to have meditated. In the evening, attend the Ganga Aarti ceremony at Parmarth Niketan Ashram, a beautiful ritual that takes place every day at sunset on the banks of the Ganges.

  2. Day 2: Triveni Ghat and Neer Garh Waterfall
    25 minutes (7.1 km) from Beatles Ashram

    Start the day with a visit to Triveni Ghat, a popular bathing ghat known for its vibrant morning prayers. Afterward, head to the tranquil Neer Garh Waterfall and spend the afternoon swimming in its refreshing waters. In the evening, head to the Rishikesh market and shop for souvenirs to take back home.
