6-Day Itinerary for Tbilisi in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Old City
    10 minutes (2.5 km) from Tbilisi Central Station

    In the morning, wander through the charming streets of the Old City and explore the ancient churches and synagogues. Stop by the Narikala Fortress for a panoramic view of the city in the afternoon. In the evening, head to the sulfur baths for a relaxing soak.

  2. Day 2: Mtskheta
    40 minutes (25 km) from Tbilisi

    Take a day trip to Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia. Visit the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral and the Jvari Monastery in the morning. Have lunch at one of the local restaurants and try traditional Georgian cuisine. In the afternoon, visit the Samtavro Monastery and the Bebristsikhe Castle.

  3. Day 3: Tbilisi Botanical Garden and Mtatsminda Park
    15 minutes (4 km) from Old City

  5. Day 5: Dry Bridge Market and Ethnographic Open-Air Museum of Georgia
    15 minutes (4 km) from Old City

    Visit the Dry Bridge Market in the morning for antique and vintage finds. Have lunch at a nearby restaurant before heading to the Ethnographic Open-Air Museum of Georgia in the afternoon. Explore the traditional Georgian houses and their architecture. In the evening, catch a performance at the Marjanishvili Theatre.

  6. Day 6: Turtle Lake and Vake Park
    20 minutes (7 km) from Old City
