5-Day Itinerary for Sikkim in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Gangtok
    30 minutes (18 km) from Pakyong Airport

In the afternoon, head to the Gangtok Ropeway and experience the panoramic views of the city from above.     Start your day early and visit the Tsomgo Lake, a beautiful glacial lake surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Afternoon, head to Nathula Pass, the highest motorable pass in the world, which offers stunning views of the Himalayas. In the evening, return to Gangtok and explore the local cuisine.

  3. Day 3: Pelling
    3 hours (110 km) from Gangtok

    Visit the Pemayangtse Monastery in the morning, which is one of the oldest and most important monasteries of Sikkim. Then, head to the Khecheopalri Lake, which is considered sacred by both Buddhists and Hindus. In the afternoon, explore the Rabdentse Ruins, the second capital of Sikkim.   4. Day 4: Yuksom

    Visit the Buddha Park in the morning and see the 130 ft tall statue of Lord Buddha. In the afternoon, head to the Ralang Monastery and admire the exquisite Tibetan architecture. In the evening, relax and enjoy the serene surroundings of the Tinkitam village.
