4-Day "Adventure" Itinerary for Katra in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Trek to Vaishno Devi
    Located at the foothills of Trikuta Mountains

    In the morning, start your trek to Vaishno Devi, one of the most popular pilgrimage destinations in India. The trek is a beautiful mix of rocky terrains and lush greenery. It will take approx. 8 hours to reach the top of the hill, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry enough water. In the afternoon, enjoy the scenic landscapes at Vaishno Devi. In the evening, attend the Aarti ceremony and immerse yourself in spirituality.

  2. Day 2: White Water Rafting
    Located at the Chenab River
    Estimated Distance: 50 km
    Estimated Time: 1.5 hours

    Start your day with a thrilling white water rafting experience at Chenab River. The distance from Katra to the river is around 50 km, and it takes approx. 1.5 hours to reach. The river has Grade III and IV rapids, providing an adrenaline-pumping adventure for experienced rafters. In the afternoon, head back to Katra and explore the local markets. In the evening, indulge in some local cuisine at one of the many famous restaurants in the area.

  3. Day 3: Bungee Jumping and Paragliding
    Located at Patnitop

    Drive to Patnitop in the morning, which is approx. 45 km away from Katra. Patnitop is known for its beautiful landscapes and adventure sports. In the evening, return to Katra and relax at your hotel.

  4. Day 4: Zipline and Nature Walk
    Located at Banganga

    On your last day, embark on a zipline adventure at Banganga, which is just 5 km away from Katra. If you have some extra time, you can visit the Bhairavnath Temple, which is located at the top of a hill and offers a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains.
