Two-Day Itinerary for Gokarna in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Mahabaleshwara Temple
    10 minutes (3.2 km) from Gokarna Beach

    Start your day by visiting the famous Mahabaleshwara Temple, which is one of the most important places to see in Gokarna. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and has a beautiful architecture. You can also enjoy the morning mantra recitation here. Afterward, head to Namaste Cafe for a delicious breakfast of pancakes and coffee. In the afternoon, visit the Half Moon Beach, which is secluded and less crowded than other beaches. You can go for a swim, relax on the beach or rent a kayak. Later, head to the Om Beach to witness a beautiful sunset. This beach is shaped like the auspicious Hindu symbol ‘Om’ and offers various activities like surfing, jet-skiing and beach volleyball.     On your second day, start early and head to the Yana Caves, which are located in the picturesque Sahyadri Mountains.
