  1. Day 1: Kedarnath Temple

    In the morning, visit the famous Kedarnath Temple located in the Himalayas at an altitude of 3,583 meters. Afternoon can be spent hiking the beautiful Vasuki Tal Lake, which is a high-altitude glacial lake located at a distance of 8 km from Kedarnath. In the evening, enjoy the breathtaking views of the sunset from the Kedarnath Peak.

  2. Day 2: Gaurikund and Sonprayag

    In the morning, visit Gaurikund, which is a Hindu pilgrimage site located at an altitude of 1,982 meters. It is believed that Lord Shiva accepted to marry Goddess Parvati here. From Gaurikund, you can start your trek to Kedarnath through the beautiful Himalayas. Afternoon can be spent visiting the picturesque town of Sonprayag, which is located at the confluence of the rivers Basuki and Mandakini. In the evening, relax and enjoy the local food and culture of Kedarnath.

  3. Day 3: Chorabari Glacier and Shankaracharya Samadhi

    In the morning, trek to Chorabari Glacier, which is located at an altitude of 3,800 meters. It is also known as Gandhi Sarovar and is named after Mahatma Gandhi. Afternoon can be spent visiting the Shankaracharya Samadhi, which is dedicated to Adi Shankaracharya, who is known for his teachings of Advaita Vedanta. In the evening, visit the local markets and buy souvenirs to take back home.

If you have time, you can visit the Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary, which is home to many species of animals like musk deer, snow leopard, and Himalayan black bear. Another beautiful trek is to the Kedartal Lake, which is located at an altitude of 4,912 meters. You can also plan a side trip to Badrinath, which is another sacred site of the Chota Char Dham Yatra. To maximize your fun, make sure to acclimatize to the high altitude before starting any treks. We also recommend carrying warm clothes, water, and energy bars during the treks.
