3-Day Adventure Itinerary in Rishikesh in June 2023

  1. Day 1: White Water Rafting in Ganges River
30 minutes (10.2 km) from Rishikesh Bus Stand

Start your adventure in Rishikesh with an adrenaline-filled morning of white water rafting in the Ganges River. Paddle through the rapids and enjoy the scenic views of the Himalayan foothills. Afterward, recharge with a delicious lunch by the river. In the afternoon, visit the Beatles Ashram (open from 9 AM to 5 PM). This abandoned ashram was where the Beatles stayed in 1968 and is now covered in colorful graffiti art. End your day with a peaceful evening Aarti ceremony at the Triveni Ghat (open from 6 PM to 7 PM), where you can witness the beauty of Hindu worship rituals.

  2. Day 2: Bungee Jumping and Flying Fox
30 minutes (13.5 km) from Ganges River Rafting Point

Get your heart pumping on day two with bungee jumping and flying fox. The jump site offers different platforms for bungee jumping, depending on your level of bravery. Afterward, fly over the lush forests with the Flying Fox zipline. You'll be back in time for lunch, where you can try some of the local street food. In the afternoon, visit the Neer Garh Waterfall (open from 8 AM to 6 PM), where you can swim in the refreshing natural pool at the bottom of the waterfall. End your day with a bonfire and stargazing experience at your campsite.

  3. Day 3: Trekking and Camping in Rajaji National Park
1 hour 30 minutes (52.3 km) from Bungee Jumping Site

On your last day, go on a trekking and camping adventure in Rajaji National Park. The park is home to various wildlife, including tigers, elephants, and leopards. After a three-hour trek, you'll reach a stunning waterfall where you can have a picnic lunch. In the evening, set up camp and enjoy a bonfire dinner under the stars. Before you leave, take a nature walk in the early morning and spot some of the park's wildlife.

Recommendations

Aside from the activities mentioned in this itinerary, you can also consider visiting the Trimbakeshwar Temple, where you can see the Shivalinga, a naturally formed ice pillar, and the Lakshman Jhula, a suspension bridge over the Ganges River. If you have more time, you can also take a day trip to Haridwar, another holy city in Uttarakhand, which is only an hour away from Rishikesh. To maximize your fun and make the most of your adventure, make sure to bring comfortable clothing and shoes, sunscreen, insect repellent, and a waterproof camera. Also, be sure to check the weather forecast before your trip to prepare for any unexpected changes.
