Paris has an excellent public transportation system, including metro, bus, and suburban train services. For longer trips such as to Disneyland Paris or Palace of Versailles, we recommend using the train for convenience and time-saving. The average cost of a single ticket on the metro, bus or train is around €1.90. We suggest buying a Paris Pass which includes access to many popular tourist attractions and unlimited travel on public transport.

Useful Tips

If you have more time, we recommend visiting some other popular attractions such as the Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Catacombs, or the Orsay Museum. For those who are interested in Paris's history, we suggest taking a tour guide to the historic monuments of Paris, which will give you a full view of the city's rich cultural heritage. If you have less time, you can skip one or two attractions or consider stopping by Munster Cheese for a quick and tasty snack.

Paris has two major airports: Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) and Orly Airport (ORY). CDG is the larger of the two and is located around 23 km northeast of the city center, while Orly is around 14 km south. Both airports have excellent transport links to Paris by train and bus.
