5-Day Adventure Itinerary for Kedarnath in August 2023

  1. Day 1: Trek to Kedarnath Temple

    After breakfast, trek to Vasuki Tal Lake, which is surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Take a dip in the crystal-clear water and enjoy a packed lunch by the lakeside. Return to the Kedarnath Temple by evening and watch the stunning sunset from the temple premises.

  3. Day 3: Gandhi Sarovar
    Starting point: Kedarnath Temple
    Distance: 6 km (3-4 hours trek)

    Today's trek takes you to Gandhi Sarovar, a glacial lake named after Mahatma Gandhi. The lake is surrounded by picturesque views of the Himalayan ranges. Have lunch by the lake and return to the Kedarnath Temple in the evening.

  4. Day 4: Chorabari Tal
    Starting point: Kedarnath Temple
    Distance: 5 km (2-3 hours trek)

    After breakfast, trek to Chorabari Tal, also known as Gandhi Sarovar. The trek takes you through beautiful meadows and waterfalls. Enjoy lunch by the lake and spend some time birdwatching. Return to the Kedarnath Temple by evening.

  5. Day 5: Back to Sonprayag Base Camp
    Starting point: Kedarnath Temple
    Distance: 18 km (5-6 hours trek)

    Today is the last day of your adventure trip. After breakfast, trek down to Sonprayag Base Camp while reminiscing about your journey. Reach the base camp by afternoon and bid adieu to this beautiful place.
