Nature Lover's 4-Day Itinerary in Rishikesh in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Neer Garh Waterfall

    Start your day with a refreshing visit to the Neer Garh Waterfall. The waterfall is surrounded by lush green forests and is a popular spot for nature lovers. You can take a dip in the natural pool at the bottom of the waterfall and enjoy the serene surroundings.

  2. Day 2: Rajaji National Park
    1 hour 15 minutes (35 miles) from Rishikesh

    Spend your day exploring the Rajaji National Park, which is home to a variety of wildlife such as elephants, tigers, leopards, and many bird species. Take a jeep safari through the park and enjoy the beautiful natural scenery. You can also visit the Chilla Dam, located nearby, for some stunning views of the surrounding hills and forests.

  3. Day 3: Triveni Ghat and Beatles Ashram
    20 minutes (2.5 miles) from Rishikesh

    Start your day by visiting the Triveni Ghat, a sacred bathing spot on the banks of the Ganges river. Watch the morning aarti (prayer ceremony) and take a dip in the holy river to purify your soul. Afterward, visit the Beatles Ashram, also known as the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ashram, where the Beatles stayed in 1968 and wrote several songs. Explore the abandoned ashram and enjoy the street art created by local artists.

  4. Day 4: Vasistha Cave
    45 minutes (14 miles) from Rishikesh

    End your trip with a visit to the Vasistha Cave, located in the beautiful Vasistha Gufa area. The cave is named after the sage Vasistha who is believed to have meditated here. Trek through the forest to reach the cave and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere. You can also visit the nearby Vasistha Temple and take in the panoramic views of the mountains and valleys.
