Kedarnath - 6 Days Itinerary in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Kedarnath Temple

    Start your spiritual journey by visiting the holy Kedarnath temple. The temple is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and is situated in the Kedarnath valley. The temple opens at 6 AM and closes at 7 PM. Witness the breathtaking views of the Himalayas and snow-covered peaks.

  2. Day 2: Vasuki Tal
    Located in Kedarnath
    1 hour 30 minutes (4.2 miles) from Kedarnath Temple

    Embark on a trek to the Vasuki Tal. The lake is situated at an altitude of 14,200 ft, and it offers magnificent views of the surrounding peaks. The trek starts from Kedarnath, and it takes around 5-6 hours to reach the lake. The trek is moderately difficult, and it is advisable to hire a guide.

  3. Day 3: Gaurikund

    Take a day trip to Gaurikund, a picturesque town located at an altitude of 6,989 ft. The town is known for its hot water springs and is considered a holy site by Hindus. Take a dip in the hot water springs, and visit the Gauri Devi temple. The temple opens at 6 AM and closes at 7 PM.

  4. Day 4: Gandhi Sarovar

    Drive to Gandhi Sarovar, a glacial lake situated at an altitude of 14,100 ft. The lake is named after Mahatma Gandhi and is a popular trekking destination.   5. Day 5: Badrinath Temple

    Visit the Badrinath temple, one of the four Chota Char Dham sites in India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is situated at an altitude of 10,170 ft. The temple opens at 6:30 AM and closes at 1 PM and then again opens at 4 PM and closes at 9 PM. Take a dip in the Tapt Kund, a hot water spring near the temple.

  6. Day 6: Mana Village
    Located in Chamoli
    30 minutes (3.5 miles) from Badrinath Temple

    Take a day trip to Mana Village, the last Indian village before the Tibet border. The village is situated at an altitude of 10,200 ft and is known for its Vyas Gufa, a cave where Ved Vyas is believed to have composed the Mahabharata. Visit the Bhim Pul, a natural rock bridge over the Saraswati river.
