In the morning, explore the ancient Edakkal Caves which have inscriptions dating back to 6000 BCE. This natural cave formation is situated on top of Ambukutty Mala and is accessible through a hiking trail. Afternoon can be spent visiting the nearby Wayanad Heritage Museum which houses artefacts from the Neolithic age.
