Start your day at the City Palace, which is one of the most famous landmarks of Jaipur. It is a magnificent palace complex that showcases the blend of Mughal and Rajasthani architecture. Spend a few hours strolling through the vast courtyards, gardens, and museums inside the palace. Walk over to the Hawa Mahal, a unique structure with 953 small windows designed to allow the women of the royal family to watch the daily street life without being seen. Finish your evening with some street shopping at Johari Bazar.
Start your day with a visit to the Amer Fort, a stunning fort located on a hilltop overlooking Jaipur. This fort is known for its huge ramparts, gates and cobbled paths, and intricate carvings. Afterwards, head to the Jal Mahal, a beautiful palace located in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake. Take a boat ride around the palace to feel the peace and serenity around it. End the day with some amazing Rajasthani cuisine at the Handi Restaurant.
Begin your day at the Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory built in the 18th century. It features the world's largest stone sundial and several other devices that were used to observe the position of celestial bodies. After that, head to the Albert Hall Museum, which is the oldest museum in Rajasthan. The museum displays a wide range of artifacts and exhibits from India, Egypt, China, and even European paintings. Dine at the rooftop restaurant at Peacock Rooftop Restaurant in the evening.
Get some fresh air in the lush greenery while exploring the Galta Ji Temple, a sacred Hindu temple, also known as the Monkey Temple because of the large number of monkeys that reside there. The temple complex is spread over a large area, with several ponds, temples, and shrines. Then continue to visit the Birla Mandir, a magnificent temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu and his consort, Goddess Lakshmi. End the day with a traditional Rajasthani meal at Thali House.
Set out to do some shopping on your last day in Jaipur. Head to Bapu Bazaar, where you can shop for traditional Rajasthani costumes, footwear, handicrafts, and souvenirs. Then head to Johari Bazaar for some jewellery and other ornaments. Wrap up your shopping experience by tasting some street food at Masala Chowk, which has a variety of stalls for snacks and food.
Most tourist attractions in Jaipur are located close to each other, so renting a car is a convenient way to explore the city at your own pace. A taxi is also a good option, but make sure to confirm the fare before traveling to avoid confusion. Public transportation is a cheaper option but less convenient.
