Foodie Itinerary for Kedarnath in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Kedarnath Temple

You can witness the morning aarti of Lord Shiva at 6:30 AM, which is a serene and spiritual experience. In the afternoon, you can enjoy local delicacies like Kachmuli and Bhang Ki Chutney at nearby eateries. In the evening attend the evening aarti at the temple and take a stroll around the temple to witness the beautiful scenery of the Himalayas.

  2. Day 2: Vasuki Tal

    On your second day, visit the scenic Vasuki Tal, a high altitude lake located at 4,135 meters. Carry some local snacks like Bal Mithai and Singori to munch on during the trek. At Vasuki Tal, you can witness the stunning view of the lake surrounded by the Chaukhamba peaks.   3. Day 3: Shankaracharya Samadhi

    On the final day, visit the Shankaracharya Samadhi, which is the final resting place of Adi Shankaracharya, the founder of Advaita Vedanta philosophy. In the afternoon, visit the local market and try the famous Garhwal ka Fannah, a sweet dish made with wheat and jaggery. In the evening, attend the final aarti at the Kedarnath Temple and take a walk around the local shops and restaurants.
