Explore the various natural parks and reserves in the area, including Cala Mondrago Natural Park.
Visit Albufera Natural Park, a wetland reserve and a haven for birdwatchers. Enjoy bird watching and see the wide range of bird species that call the park home, including flamingos, wading birds, and predatory birds. To get around Mallorca and visit the different natural attractions, we recommend renting a car. Car rentals cost an average of $40 - $60 per day, and fuel is around $7 per gallon. Public transportation is also available, with frequent buses and trains that connect the major cities and towns. Taxis are available but can be costly.
If you have an extra day, you can visit the Caves of Drach or the Cap de Formentor. If you have less time, we suggest skipping either Serra de Tramuntana or Albufera Natural Park, depending on your preferences. We also recommend bringing comfortable shoes, a hat, sunscreen, and water bottles, as the hikes can be quite long and challenging.
Mallorca has one main airport, Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI), which is located 8 km east of Palma, Mallorca's capital city. The airport is well-connected to major cities around Europe, with airlines such as Ryanair, EasyJet, and Vueling operating daily flights. Taxis and public buses are available from the airport to the city center, which is about a 15-20 minute drive away.
