Recommendations

In addition to the above itinerary, you may want to consider visiting the following attractions: the Rose Garden, an extensive collection of roses that bloom in a variety of colors and sizes; the Wax World Museum, featuring wax statues of Indian leaders, famous personalities, and popular film stars; and the Tribal Museum, which showcases the art and culture of the indigenous tribes of the Nilgiri region.

For a side trip, consider visiting Coonoor, a nearby hill station that is home to the Sim's Park, a botanical garden with over 1,000 species of plants. Another great option is a visit to the Mudumalai National Park, where you can take a safari and spot wildlife such as tigers, elephants, and leopards.

To maximize your fun, try to plan your trip during the annual Tea and Tourism Festival, held in Ooty every January. During the festival, you can sample a variety of tea and enjoy cultural performances, adventure sports, and more.
