7-Day Adventure Itinerary in Sikkim for June 2023

  1. Day 1: Gangtok
    From Bagdogra Airport, drive 126 km (4 hours) to Gangtok.

    In the morning, visit the Rumtek Monastery, the largest in Sikkim and home to precious Buddhist artifacts. In the afternoon, explore the Gangtok city center and shop for souvenirs at the Lal Bazaar. In the evening, enjoy the stunning views of the Kanchenjunga mountain range from the Tashi Viewpoint.

  2. Day 2: Ravangla
    From Gangtok, drive 64 km (2 hours) to Ravangla.

    In the morning, go on a thrilling zipline adventure at the Maenam Wildlife Sanctuary. In the afternoon, visit the Buddha Park to see the 130-ft tall statue of Lord Buddha and the nearby Ralang Monastery. In the evening, relax and unwind at the Temi Tea Garden, the only tea estate in Sikkim.

  3. Day 3: Yuksom
    From Ravangla, drive 60 km (2 hours) to Yuksom.

    In the morning, go on a trek to the Khecheopalri Lake, a sacred lake surrounded by lush green forests. In the afternoon, visit the Dubdi Monastery, the oldest in Sikkim, and learn about the history of Buddhism in the region. In the evening, go stargazing at the Yuksom helipad and witness the breathtaking night sky.

  4. Day 4: Pelling
    From Yuksom, drive 36 km (1 hour) to Pelling.

    In the morning, visit the Kanchenjunga Falls, a two-tiered waterfall surrounded by charming forests.   6. Day 6: Gangtok
    From Lachung, drive 117 km (4 hours) to Gangtok.

    In the morning, visit the Tsomgo Lake and go on a yak ride around the lake. In the afternoon, visit the Hanuman Tok, a temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman, and the Ganesh Tok, offering stunning views of the Himalayas. In the evening, visit the Banjhakri Falls and Energy Park, featuring traditional tribal sculptures and a waterfall.

  7. Day 7: Departure
    From Gangtok, drive 126 km (4 hours) to Bagdogra Airport.

    In the morning, visit the Enchey Monastery, known for its vibrant masked dances and traditional Tibetan architecture. In the afternoon, go on a shopping spree at the MG Marg, known for its street food and handicrafts. Say goodbye to Sikkim and depart for your next adventure.
