  1. Day 1: Kedarnath Temple
    Located at the heart of Kedarnath, walking distance from most hotels.

    Start your day by visiting the Kedarnath temple, one of the holiest shrines of Hindu mythology surrounded by snow-clad mountains.   2. Day 2: Vasuki Tal
    Located at a distance of 8.1 km (3 hours trek) from Kedarnath.

    Start your day early with a trek to Vasuki Tal, a beautiful high altitude lake popular among trekkers. The trek is moderate in difficulty and takes around 3 hours to reach the lake from Kedarnath. Spend your morning exploring the lake and its surroundings. You can also choose to camp near the lake for the night. Return to Kedarnath in the afternoon to relax and rejuvenate. In the evening, visit the Bhairon Temple situated adjacent to the Kedarnath temple.

  3. Day 3: Gandhi Sarovar

  4. Day 4: Gaurikund

    Start your day with a drive to Gaurikund, the starting point of the trek to Kedarnath. Spend your morning exploring the town and visit the Gauri Devi temple. Afterward, take a dip in the hot springs near the temple to relax your muscles. In the afternoon, return to Kedarnath and visit the Bhairav Temple situated near the Kedarnath temple. In the evening, attend the evening Aarti at the temple.

  5. Day 5: Sonprayag and Triyuginarayan Temple
    Sonprayag is located 20 km (1-hour drive) from Kedarnath, while Triyuginarayan Temple is located at a distance of 25 km (1.5 hours drive) from Sonprayag.

    Start your day with a drive to Sonprayag, a scenic town situated at the confluence of two rivers. Spend your morning exploring the town and visit the ancient Shani Temple. Afterward, drive to Triyuginarayan Temple, a beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple is situated in a tranquil place surrounded by lush green forests. Spend your afternoon around the temple and witness the evening Aarti. Return to Kedarnath in the evening.

  6. Day 6: Kedarnath Bazaar
    Kedarnath Bazaar is situated at the heart of Kedarnath, walking distance from most hotels.

    On your last day, spend your morning exploring the Kedarnath Bazaar, a bustling marketplace situated at the heart of Kedarnath. You can buy souvenirs, local handicrafts and other items for your loved ones back home. In the afternoon, relax and enjoy the scenic beauty of Kedarnath. In the evening, attend the evening Aarti at the Kedarnath temple and bid farewell to the holy town.

Recommendations

If you have an extra day, you can visit the nearby Guptkashi town and the Vishwanath Temple. The town is located at a distance of 32 km from Kedarnath and takes around 1.5 hours to reach by car. You can also try local cuisines like Kachmauli, Bal Mithai and Singhori. To maximize your fun, carry warm clothes, trekking shoes, and a camera as you will witness some breathtaking views of the Himalayas.
