Two-day itinerary for Pune

  1. Day 1: Aga Khan Palace
    30 minutes (7.3 km) from Pune airport

    Visit Aga Khan Palace in the morning. This beautiful palace has a lot of historical significance and is a must-visit place in Pune. It is the same place where Mahatma Gandhi was kept under house arrest for almost 2 years. Afternoon, head to Shaniwar Wada Fort and explore this ancient fort, which was once the seat of the Peshwa rulers. In the evening, visit Osho Ashram, where you can spend some quiet time in meditation and enjoy the serene environment.

  2. Day 2: Sinhagad Fort and Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Temple
    1 hour 15 minutes (25 km) from Osho Ashram

    Start your day by visiting Sinhagad Fort, located on a hilltop. It is a popular tourist attraction, and the view from the top is breathtaking. Afternoon, head to Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Temple, one of the most famous temples in Pune. It is known for its beautiful architecture and the huge Ganpati idol. In the evening, visit the Pataleshwar Cave Temple, a rock-cut temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.

If you have time, you can also visit the Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park, which is home to a variety of animals. You can also take a day trip to Lavasa, a beautiful hill station near Pune.
