3-Day Adventure Itinerary for Nainital in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Naini Lake
    10 minutes (1.3 miles) from Tallital Bus Stand

    In the morning, head to Naini Lake for a thrilling experience of boating in the heart of Nainital. The clean water and fresh air will rejuvenate your senses. For lunch, try the local delicacy of Bhatt ki Churkani. In the afternoon, explore Tiffin Top for an enthralling trek to the hilltop that offers a panoramic view of the Nainital city. End the day by visiting the Mall Road, which is bustling with shops selling handicrafts, clothes, and jewelry.

  2. Day 2: Naina Devi Temple
    15 minutes (2.5 miles) from Naini Lake

    Start your day by visiting the ancient Naina Devi Temple, one of the 51 Shaktipeeths, and seek blessings from the presiding deity. Afterward, head to Snow View Point, which can be accessed by a ropeway ride offering a bird's eye view of Nainital and its surrounding peaks. Snowfall can be expected here in June. In the evening, visit Cave Garden, which is a network of interconnected natural caves that will make you feel like you are spelunking.

  3. Day 3: Nainital Zoo
    20 minutes (3.2 miles) from Cave Garden

    On the last day, wake up early and head to Pangot, which is a 30-minute drive from Nainital. Pangot is a small village located in the Kumaon hills and is known for its exotic bird species and wildlife. You can go for a nature walk or trek here. After that, head back to Nainital and visit the Zoological Gardens, which boasts of rare Himalayan species like snow leopard, Himalayan black bear, and bharal. In the evening, head to Hanuman Garhi, which is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman and offers a panoramic view of the Himalayas.

You can also visit Jim Corbett National Park, which is a 3-hour drive from Nainital and is known for its Bengal tigers and other animals.
