3-Day Nature Itinerary in Wayanad in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Chembra Peak
    16 minutes (6.3 miles) from Kalpetta

    Start your day early with a trek to the Chembra Peak, the highest peak in Wayanad. The trek is challenging but rewarding, with stunning views of the surrounding hills and valleys. Take a jeep safari through the forest and get a chance to spot some wildlife. In the afternoon, visit the Pakshipathalam Bird Sanctuary, a haven for birdwatchers with over 200 species of birds. Take a guided walk through the forest and spot some of the rare and endemic bird species. End your day with a visit to the Karapuzha Dam, a scenic spot to watch the sunset over the reservoir.
