Four Days of Nature in South Goa in July 2024

  1. Day 1: Palolem Beach
    1 hour (31.7 km) from Goa International Airport

    In the morning, explore the natural beauty of Palolem Beach and its surroundings. Take a stroll along the white sandy beach, and experience the sunrise and the calming sea breeze. Afternoon, visit the Butterfly Beach, accessible only by boat, where you can spot dolphins jumping in the water. In the evening, visit the Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary, known for its diverse flora and fauna, and take a walk through the forest.

  2. Day 2: Dudhsagar Falls
    2 hours 20 minutes (75.4 km) from Palolem Beach

    Start your day early and drive towards the Dudhsagar Falls. You can take a train or a jeep ride to the falls, which is surrounded by lush green forests. Spend the morning enjoying the breathtaking view of the waterfall and take a swim in the refreshing pool. In the afternoon, visit the Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary, which is home to a variety of animals, birds and reptiles such as tigers, panthers, deer, and many more. In the evening, head back to your hotel and relax.

  3. Day 3: Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary
    1 hour 10 minutes (36.4 km) from Dudhsagar Falls

    Start your day by visiting the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, which is named after India's famous ornithologist. Take a boat ride through the mangroves and spot various migratory and local bird species. In the afternoon, visit the Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary, one of the lesser-known sanctuaries in Goa, which is home to bison, leopards, and several species of birds and butterflies. In the evening, visit the Cabo de Rama Fort, a 16th-century Portuguese fort with panoramic views of the Arabian Sea.

  4. Day 4: Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary
    1 hour 20 minutes (39.6 km) from Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary

    Start your day by visiting the Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary again, but this time take a different trail and explore the unexplored part of the sanctuary. In the afternoon, visit the Mollem National Park, which is home to the majestic Bengal Tiger. You can take a jeep safari and spot tigers, leopards, and a wide variety of birds. In the evening, head back to your hotel and relax.
