Transportation

Paris has one of the most efficient public transport systems in the world. The city has an excellent, affordable metro system that covers all corners of the city. Taxis and Ubers are also readily available, but they can be expensive during peak hours. Walking and cycling are great options if you want to explore a particular neighborhood. A single metro ticket costs €1.90 and is valid for 90 minutes, while a 24-hour pass costs €7.50.

Useful Tips

If you have more time, consider taking a day trip to the Palace of Versailles or Disneyland Paris. Shakespeare and Company, Parc des Buttes Chaumont, and Orsay Museum are other attractions that are worth visiting. If you have less time, move Montmartre to Day 1 and spend the evening there. Other great neighborhoods to explore are Le Marais, Saint-Germain-des-Prés, and Canal Saint-Martin.
