4-Day Family Friendly Itinerary for Sikkim in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Gangtok
    32 minutes (16.7 km) from Pakyong Airport

    In the morning, visit the Enchey Monastery, a serene and peaceful place that offers panoramic views of the surrounding hills. In the afternoon, take a stroll along the MG Marg, a pedestrian-only street filled with shops, cafes and restaurants. End the day at the Banjhakri Falls, a beautiful waterfall surrounded by lush greenery.

  2. Day 2: Tsomgo Lake and Nathula Pass
    1 hour 26 minutes (40.7 km) from Gangtok

    In the morning, head to Tsomgo Lake, a glacial lake surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Take a yak ride or go boating on the lake. In the afternoon, visit the Nathula Pass, a historic trade route between India and Tibet. Enjoy panoramic views of the Himalayas and visit the Baba Mandir, a shrine dedicated to an Indian soldier.

  3. Day 3: Pelling
    3 hours 22 minutes (114 km) from Gangtok

    In the morning, visit the Pemayangtse Monastery, one of the oldest and most important monasteries in Sikkim. Afternoon, visit the Rabdentse Ruins, the second capital of the former Kingdom of Sikkim. End the day at the Khecheopalri Lake, a sacred lake surrounded by dense forests and hills.

  4. Day 4: Yuksom
    2 hours 30 minutes (51.8 km) from Pelling

    In the morning, visit the Dubdi Monastery, the first monastery built in Sikkim. Take a short trek to the Tashiding Monastery, one of the most important monasteries in Sikkim. In the afternoon, visit the Kanchenjunga Falls, one of the highest waterfalls in India. End the day at the Norbugang Park, a beautiful park surrounded by hills and forests.
