4-Day Southern India Adventure

  1. Day 1: Kanyakumari
    1 hour 30 minutes (42.4 miles) from Trivandrum International Airport

    Start your day early and head to Kanyakumari, the southernmost tip of India where the Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal and Indian Ocean meet. Head to the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, a rock island that houses a statue of Swami Vivekananda and the Shripada Mandapam, a meditation hall. Take a ferry ride to the Thiruvalluvar Statue, a 133-feet tall stone sculpture of the Tamil poet and philosopher Thiruvalluvar. In the evening, head to the Kanyakumari Beach to witness the stunning sunset.

  2. Day 2: Varkala
    3 hours 30 minutes (84.9 miles) from Kanyakumari

    Start your day early and head to Varkala, a coastal town known for its beautiful beaches and cliffs. Spend the morning at the Papanasam Beach, known for its calm waters and stunning views. In the afternoon, head to the Varkala Cliff, a 15-meter high cliff overlooking the Arabian Sea. Take a stroll along the cliff, visit the Janardhana Swamy Temple and indulge in some local street food.     Start your day early and head to Munnar, a hill station known for its tea plantations and natural beauty. Visit the Mattupetty Dam and take a boat ride on the lake. Visit the Echo Point, a scenic spot where your voice echoes back to you. In the afternoon, visit the Tea Museum and learn about the history of tea in India. End your day by watching the sunset at the Top Station, the highest point in Munnar.
