Afternoon: After a soulful morning, explore the nearby Gandhi Sarovar Lake, located at a distance of 3 km. It's a moderate trek, but the view of the lake surrounded by snow-capped peaks will make it worth your while.
Evening: End the day by strolling around the town and experiencing the local culture. You can try some local delicacies like Aloo ke Gutke and Kachmauli.

Day 2: Vasuki Tal
14.6 km drive (1 hour) from Kedarnath Temple
Morning: Start early and drive to Sonprayag, the starting point of the trek to Vasuki Tal. The trek is a bit challenging, and it takes around 6-7 hours to reach the lake. The trail passes through scenic meadows, cascading waterfalls, and dense forests.
Afternoon: Spend some time by the serene Vasuki Tal, situated at a height of 14,200 ft. You can also camp by the lake if you want to experience a night amidst the stars.
Evening: Head back to Kedarnath and relax at your hotel after a tiring day.

Day 3: Chandrashila Trek
30.4 km drive (1.5 hours) from Kedarnath Temple
Morning: Start early and drive to Chopta, the starting point of the Chandrashila trek. The trek is a moderate one, and it takes around 3-4 hours to reach the summit. The trek passes through lush green meadows, rhododendron forests, and offers a panoramic view of the Himalayas.
Afternoon: Spend some time at the summit of Chandrashila, situated at a height of 13,000 ft. The view of the snow-capped peaks and the surrounding valleys is breathtaking.
Evening: Head back to Chopta and enjoy a local meal of Garhwali Thali before heading back to your hotel.

Day 4: Madmaheshwar Temple Trek
23.8 km (1.5 hours) from Kedarnath Temple
Morning: Start early and drive to Kalimath, the starting point of the trek to Madmaheshwar Temple. The trek is a bit challenging, and it takes around 5-6 hours to reach the temple. The trek passes through dense forests, cascading waterfalls, and offers a stunning view of the Himalayas.
Afternoon: Spend some time at the Madmaheshwar Temple, located at an altitude of 11,500 ft. The temple is believed to be the place where Lord Shiva vanished while trying to evade the Pandavas.
Evening: Head back to your hotel in Kedarnath and relax after a long day.

Day 5: Gaurikund
Around 20 km (40 minutes) from Kedarnath Temple
Morning: Head to Gaurikund, the starting point of the trek to Kedarnath. The trek is an easy one, and it takes around 4-5 hours to reach Kedarnath. The trail passes through scenic landscapes and offers a stunning view of the Himalayas.
Afternoon: After reaching Kedarnath, explore the town and interact with the locals. You can also visit the Shankaracharya Samadhi and the Bhairon Temple.
Evening: Head back to your hotel in Kedarnath and pack your bags for departure the next day.
If you have an extra day, you can visit the nearby Tungnath Temple, the highest Shiva temple in the world. The trek is a bit challenging, but the view from the top is breathtaking. You can also visit the Deoria Tal lake, which is known for its scenic beauty. If you want to maximize your fun, you can go for a helicopter ride from Phata to Kedarnath. It will give you a bird's eye view of the Himalayas and the surrounding areas. Don't forget to carry warm clothes and trekking gear, and keep yourself hydrated throughout the trip.
