2-Day Yercaud Itinerary in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Kiliyur Falls
10 minutes (3.3 km) from Yercaud Lake

Start your day off with a trip to Kiliyur Falls. The falls are at their best during monsoon season, so July is the perfect time to visit. Spend the morning taking in the stunning views of the falls and surrounding forest. You can also take a dip in the pool at the base of the falls, but be careful as the rocks can be slippery. In the afternoon, head to Pagoda Point, which offers a panoramic view of the town and the mountains. You can also enjoy a cup of tea or coffee at one of the nearby stalls. In the evening, head back to Yercaud Lake for a boat ride and stunning sunset views.

  2. Day 2: Shevaroy Temple
    15 minutes (4.6 km) from Lady's Seat

Start your day off with a visit to the Shevaroy Temple. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shevaroy and is located on the highest point in Yercaud. Spend your morning exploring the temple and taking in the breathtaking views of the town and surrounding hills. In the afternoon, head to Lady's Seat, a cluster of rocks that offer another panoramic view of the town. You can also visit the nearby rose garden and enjoy a picnic with your family and friends. In the evening, head to Anna Park, which offers a variety of recreational activities like boating, cycling, and horse riding.

Recommendations

Aside from the itinerary, you might want to visit the Montfort School, which is one of the oldest schools in Yercaud.
