Kedarnath Family Friendly 5-Day Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Kedarnath Temple

After paying your respects, take a stroll around the temple complex and enjoy the scenic beauty. In the afternoon, visit the Shankaracharya Samadhi, located near the temple complex. In the evening, attend the evening aarti at the temple and seek blessings.

  2. Day 2: Vasuki Tal

    Embark on a trek to Vasuki Tal, a high altitude lake situated at an elevation of 4,150 meters above sea level. The trek starts from Kedarnath and takes approximately 4 hours.   3. Day 3: Chorabari Tal

  4. Day 4: Gaurikund and Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary

    In the morning, visit Gaurikund, the starting point of the trek to Kedarnath. After lunch, visit the Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary, spread over an area of 975 square kilometers. The sanctuary is home to a variety of flora and fauna, including the snow leopard, musk deer, and Himalayan black bear. Take a guided tour of the sanctuary and learn about the local biodiversity.

  5. Day 5: Kalimath and Ukhimath

    Visit Kalimath, a small town situated on the banks of the Saraswati River. The town is believed to be the place where the goddess Kali killed the demon Raktavija. The Kalimath Temple is a popular pilgrimage site and is situated at an altitude of 6,000 feet above sea level. After lunch, visit Ukhimath, a town located at an altitude of 1,318 meters above sea level. The town is believed to be the winter home of Lord Kedarnath. Visit the Omkareshwar Temple and seek blessings.
