3-Day Adventure Itinerary for Wayanad in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Trekking in Chembra Peak
    1 hour 15 minutes (22 miles) from Kalpetta

    Get ready for an adrenaline-packed day as we trek up the Chembra Peak, the highest peak in Wayanad. The trek starts at the foothills and takes around 3-4 hours to reach the heart-shaped lake at the top. The view from the peak is breathtaking and is an ideal spot for photography. After lunch, visit the Pookode Lake, a freshwater lake surrounded by forests. Take a boat ride or go for a nature walk around the lake before heading back to your hotel.

  2. Day 2: Bamboo Rafting in Kuruva Island

    Take a break from trekking and enjoy a day of bamboo rafting in Kuruva Island. The island is a protected river delta on the Kabini River and is known for its bamboo rafting, bird watching, and island trekking. After lunch, visit the Edakkal Caves, a pre-historic rock shelter with ancient carvings dating back to the Neolithic era. Spend some time exploring the caves before heading back to your hotel.

  3. Day 3: Wildlife Safari in Tholpetty Wildlife Sanctuary

    Get ready for an early morning wildlife safari in Tholpetty Wildlife Sanctuary. The sanctuary is home to some rare and endangered species of animals like tigers, elephants, leopards, and bears. After the safari, visit the Soochipara Falls, a three-tiered waterfall surrounded by lush green forests.
