3-Day Itinerary for Gokarna in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Mahabaleshwara Temple
    10 minutes (2.1 km) from downtown Gokarna

    In the morning, visit the Mahabaleshwara Temple, a famous Hindu pilgrimage site located in the heart of Gokarna. Afternoon, enjoy a scenic drive to Om Beach, one of the most popular beaches in Gokarna. Spend your afternoon relaxing on the beach, taking a dip in the sea, or indulging in some water sports. In the evening, head to the nearby Namaste Cafe for dinner and enjoy the stunning sunset view.

  2. Day 2: Mirjan Fort and Kudle Beach
    45 minutes (19.4 km) from Mahabaleshwara Temple

    Start your day with a visit to the Mirjan Fort, located in the village of Mirjan. Aside from the places mentioned above, you can also consider visiting the Half Moon Beach, Paradise Beach, or the Gokarna Beach. If you have extra time, you can also take a side trip to the nearby town of Murudeshwar to see the famous Murudeshwar Temple and the second tallest Shiva statue in the world. To maximize your fun, try some of the delicious local cuisine such as the seafood, chaats, and South Indian delicacies. Don't forget to bring sunscreen, hats, and comfortable walking shoes as you will be doing a lot of walking and exploring!
