3-Day Nature Itinerary in South Goa for August 2023

  1. Day 1: Dudhsagar Falls
    1 hour 30 minutes (45 miles) from Dabolim International Airport

    Enjoy the magnificent beauty of the Dudhsagar waterfall, one of the highest waterfalls in India. You can take an exciting jeep safari to reach the waterfalls, and then trek to the bottom to experience the force of the falling water. Spend the afternoon swimming and relaxing in the cool waters of the falls, and enjoy a picnic lunch on the rocks.

  2. Day 2: Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary
    1 hour 20 minutes (45 miles) from Dudhsagar Falls

    Visit the Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary, a protected area of biodiversity that features a variety of flora and fauna. Take a guided nature walk through the sanctuary, and spot some of the native animals such as the panther, bison, and deer. In the afternoon, hike to Tambdi Surla, a 12th-century Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, tucked away in the lush jungle.

  3. Day 3: Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary and Palolem Beach
    1 hour 10 minutes (30 miles) from Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary

    Start your day with a morning boat tour of Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, which is located in the Mandovi River. This place is a paradise for bird lovers, with over 400 species of birds. In the afternoon, head to the beautiful Palolem Beach, known for its picturesque beauty. Relax on the white sandy beach, soak up some sun, and go for a swim in the turquoise blue waters.
