2-Day Adventure Itinerary in Wayanad for June 2023

  1. Day 1: Soochipara Falls
    1-hour 20-minutes (29.4 km) from Kalpetta

    In the morning, visit the beautiful Soochipara Falls, which is located in a dense forest. The falls have a unique three-tiered structure and are around 200 meters high. You can take a dip in the natural pool at the bottom of the falls. In the afternoon, head to the Edakkal Caves, around 30 minutes from the falls. These caves have ancient carvings dating back to the Neolithic era. In the evening, go on a wildlife safari at the Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary. You can spot elephants, deer, and various other animals on this safari.

  2. Day 2: Chembra Peak
    1-hour 15-minutes (24.2 km) from Kalpetta

    Start your day with a trek to the Chembra Peak, which is the highest peak in Wayanad. The trek takes around 3 hours and is moderately difficult. Once you reach the top, you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the surrounding hills and the heart-shaped lake. In the afternoon, drive to the Banasura Sagar Dam, which is around 30 minutes from the peak. The dam is surrounded by lush green hills and is a great place for boating. In the evening, visit the Pookode Lake, which is a natural freshwater lake surrounded by forests. You can go boating or simply enjoy the scenic beauty of the lake.
