3-Day Shoestring Budget Itinerary for Ooty in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Government Botanical Garden

  2. Day 2: Pykara Lake and Falls
    45 minutes (22 km) from Government Botanical Garden

    Spend the morning at Pykara Lake, which is surrounded by lush green forests and is a popular spot for boating and picnics. After lunch, head to the Pykara Falls, which are located a short distance from the lake. The falls cascade down in two sections and offer a mesmerising sight. In the evening, visit the St. Stephen's Church, which is one of the oldest churches in the Nilgiri Hills and has beautiful stained glass windows.

In the afternoon, visit the Wax World Museum, which has a collection of wax figures of famous personalities from India and around the world. Finally, end your day at the Tribal Research Centre, which showcases the art, culture and lifestyle of the indigenous tribes of the Nilgiri Hills.
