Relaxing Two-Day Itinerary for Mahabaleshwar in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Wilson Point
    10 minutes (3.5 km) from Mahabaleshwar Bus Station

    In the morning, grab a hot cup of tea and some delicious breakfast from any of the local vendors and head over to Wilson Point, the highest point in Mahabaleshwar. Situated at an altitude of 1439 meters, it is the perfect spot to witness the breathtaking sunrise. Afterward, take a stroll in the nearby woods, or enjoy a horse ride. For lunch, try some local Maharashtrian cuisine at Bagicha Corner. In the afternoon, visit the beautiful Venna Lake, which is just a 10-minute ride from Wilson Point. You can enjoy some boating or horse-riding near the lake. End your day by watching the sunset at Bombay Point, which is just 15 minutes away from Venna Lake.

  2. Day 2: Pratapgad Fort
    35 minutes (22 km) from Mahabaleshwar Bus Station

    Start your day by visiting the ancient Mahabaleshwar temple, which is just 15 minutes away from the bus station. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is considered to be one of the most important pilgrimage sites in India. Afterward, head over to Pratapgad Fort, which is just a 35-minute drive from Mahabaleshwar. This fort is famous for the Battle of Pratapgad, which took place between Maratha warrior Shivaji and Adil Shahi dynasty of Bijapur in 1656. Witness the rich history of this place and enjoy the scenic view from atop the fort. For lunch, you can try some local food at the fort's canteen. Return to Mahabaleshwar by evening and spend some time shopping at the local market or try some street food.
