2-Day Adventure Itinerary for Coorg in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Dubare Elephant Camp
    25 minutes (14.5 km) from Madikeri

    Morning: Visit Dubare Elephant Camp where you can watch elephants being bathed and fed. You can even take a ride on an elephant's back and explore the forest.

    Afternoon: Head to Abbey Falls which is a 40-minute drive from Dubare Elephant Camp. The falls are surrounded by lush green trees and make for a stunning view.

    Evening: End the day with some adventure at Nishani Motte. It is a trek to the peak of the Nishani mountain range, and is a 2-hour trek that is sure to leave you with some unforgettable memories.

  2. Day 2: Brahmagiri Wildlife Sanctuary
    2 hours and 15 minutes (68.1 km) from Madikeri

    Morning: Explore the Brahmagiri Wildlife Sanctuary, where you will encounter a variety of animals such as tigers, leopards, and elephants. You can also go on a trekking trail that winds through the sanctuary.

    Afternoon: Head to Talacauvery, which is a 45-minute drive from the sanctuary. It is the source of the river Cauvery and is considered a holy place by the locals.

    Evening: End your trip with some white-water rafting on the Barapole river. You can opt to do the level 3 rapids which is an exciting adventure for those looking for an adrenaline rush!

Recommendations

Coorg is known for its coffee plantations, so you can visit one of the many plantations and learn about the process of coffee-making.

You can also go on a night safari in the Nagarhole National Park which is a 2-hour drive from Madikeri.

If you have more time, you can visit the Iruppu Falls, which is a 2-hour drive from Madikeri. The falls are located in the Brahmagiri mountain range and are a sight to behold.
