5-Day Darjeeling Nature Itinerary in September 2023

  1. Day 1: Singalila National Park
    4 hours (40 miles) from Bagdogra Airport

    In the morning, take a scenic drive to Singalila National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its diverse flora and fauna, including the elusive red panda.   4. Day 4: Darjeeling Ropeway and Happy Valley Tea Estate
    20 minutes (1 mile) from Darjeeling town center

    Take the Darjeeling Ropeway for a bird's eye view of the tea gardens and the valley below. Visit the Happy Valley Tea Estate for a guided tour of the tea-making process and a tasting session. Have lunch at the tea estate restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Japanese Peace Pagoda for a moment of reflection and a panoramic view of the town. End the day with a Tibetan dinner at Kunga Restaurant.

  5. Day 5: Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary
    1.5 hours (28 miles) from Darjeeling town center

    Take a scenic drive to the Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary, an offbeat destination known for its pristine forests and exotic wildlife.
